I've been drawing since I was five, and from that age I attended art lessons in Holland. I read continuously, everything that’s published, and to this end my Aunties send packages full of books from the second-hand shops in the Netherlands to Albania. My interests are mainly in nature and the environment, and the relationship of people with these. And when I think that in the Netherlands about four billion dollars worth of food is thrown away every year, and in Albania, the same time, old people die of starvation in the winter, I find the thought unpleasant - to put it mildly. Why just the amount of energy necessary to produce the food that’s thrown away is three times the capacity of all the wind energy turbines in the whole Netherlands! In Albania I’m very conscious of people and my fellow man. Here, you live closer to the facts of life every day, because in every aspect you are closer to life. And because of this my childhood is and was a happy time. We've lived so many adventures in this beautiful Land of the Eagle, and now I’m writing a book about it. I would like to set my talents towards actually coloring the world a little prettier. It doesn't have to be big, and thereby lays the challenge to us all. For me it’s in the beautiful county of Bushat, in the little village of Barbullush in Northern Albania. (www.komuna-bushat.eu)
